Have you been counting down the days? We sure have! With summer just around the corner, it is the perfect time to get your camper or RV de-winterized and ready for another season of adventures!

Here are 5 simple tips for getting your RV out of storage and ready to hit the road!

After many months of not being on the road, it is a good idea to give your vehicle a good check-up before hitting the road. Approximately two hours could save you money and unnecessary frustration.

  1. Check the tires – check the tire pressure and tighten lug nuts.
  2. If you used anti-freeze during winterization, be sure to clean out your water system.
  3. Test gas appliances.
  4. Change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detector.
  5. Check and wash all windows and screens – at Stevens Glass, we now have the only tempered glass facility in the state of Alaska and can take care of all your glass needs for campers and RV’s. Our team wants to be sure you can enjoy the majestic views all summer long, not only from your windshield, all windows.
